patch notes 5/27/25
2025-05-27
-marvel rivals //my friends are no longer playing this, and that's the only reason i was interested
^heroes of the storm promoted to all-time favorite //by far my most played competitive game, will always love it but there would have to be some pretty big news to keep my interest at the moment
-keyforge //great card game, my hype bandwidth is just taken up by others right now: hubworld: aidalon, warlord, and sorcery
-mario party jamboree //is it finally time? i think it's time for me to give up on my nintendo dreams. i just don't have the friend group or the finances to support a full-priced suite of games on a separate system. i love the parties and the karts and the wonders, but i routinely find just as much enjoyment from indie games at a fraction of the price on a device that supports multiple ecosystems. don't get me wrong, this is purely a me thing. i'm a budget gamer and a minimalist, and modern nintendo has just never worked out with my lifestyle.
+albion online //post warborne test drought. warborne is just absolutely made for me, but i definitely have concerns, especially the queue system, balance, and pay to win. i played so much for a month during the playtest and i still want more. albion is probably just to hold me over until the next test
i was going to have a separate page for these dumb little patch notes just for fun, but then i started writing stuff about each game i added or removed and it seemed like i may as well just post it to the blog. content! i’ve got a backlog of previous changes i’m going to put here, then i’ll make new posts for them in the future. i’m still going to do a link to a list of some of my all-time favorite games that i don’t want to keep on the list all the time.
^titanfall 2 promoted to all-time favorite //i played the campaign and it was phenomenal, one of my biggest gaming regrets is not getting into the multiplayer
+hubworld: aidalon //new card game by earthborne games, greatly inspired by netrunner, two top tier statements right there
+warborne: above ashes //albion online meets planetside 2, yes yes yes yes yes
^wreckfest promoted to all-time favorite and replaced with wreckfest 2
+digimon: survive //i just wanted to play a digimon game since i never have, and i'm more interested in the dark story and tactics gameplay
+wreckfest //this has actually been one of my faves for a long time now, i just forgot to put it on this list
+marvel rivals //friends were interested in playing, good game but i'm generally not interested in highly competitive games with small teams anymore. also i've just been kind of over marvel lately
+titanfall 2 //playing the campaign for this game has been a long-time-coming
+mecha break
-solforge fusion
-throne and liberty //such a disappointment but i'm glad i experienced it
-dark and darker
+towerborne
mario party superstars changed to mario party jamboree
+light of motiram //monster hunter but you're murdering out-of-control robots instead of sentient creatures, sign me the hell up
+caracoles //this isn't going to last a long time or anything but this game is so stylish and such a fun idea
-stellaris nexus//a fresh title in the long list of multiplayer strategy games that i want to love but nobody plays
+the bazaar //forgot to add earlier, one of the very few games to ever launch whose quality met the amount amount of hype i had for it
+sovl fantasy warfare
+dune awakening //i think they've exaggerated what this game will be, but i love it on paper
